H escaped for an extended weekend to Seattle to visit with family and to celebrate her Grandmother’s 85th birthday! The weather was gorgeous (as it always is in Seattle when H visits….she doesn’t believe the myth that it’s always misty and raining in Seattle…or maybe she just brings the sunny weather). One of the nights, H went with her family to an amazing seafood restaurant – Salty’s – located on Redondo beach, where they had delicious food while watching the sunset over the Puget Sound. She wishes she had more time to have explored the amazing vintage and thrift shops that are located around the city – maybe next time!
J hung around the city - spending the day in Central Park with a friend where they had a picnic, listened to the free bands playing at summer stage & caught some rays in Sheep's Meadow. Then out to Williamsburg for a night of Brooklyn debauchery. Nothing beats a fun night full of old classics like the Levee and Union Pool where the PBR is cold, the cheese balls are delicious & the company is always great.4 out of 5 apples on the big apple weekend review radar.
